The Mall is an eclectic amalgam of present and the past era. It is dotted with restaurants, modern markets, bhutta sellers, lamp-posts and benches. You can trot on a horse or sit at a bench and gaze at the picturesque scenery for hours and hours together.
Gun Hill located 400 ft above the Mall is a very popular destination among honeymooners. You can reach there by foot or through a cable car. On a clear day the place offers great sunset views, and panoramic views of the Doon Valley below and of the Bandarpoonch, Nag Tibba and Yamunotri peaks. Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie and offers great views of Himalayan ranges.
Camel Back Road is a lovely 4 km stretch between the Library Point and Kulri Bazaar. It is popular for the views of a ridge that looks like a camel hump. It also offers superb sunset views with peaks painted in brilliant hues and is a perfect place for an evening stroll.
Kempty Falls and Jharipani Falls are a must-visit, while on a trip to Mussoorie. Among the two falls, Kempty Falls are more popular among the tourist. Located 15 km from Mussoorie, it is a 40 ft high perennial fall and the place is crowded with food stalls and photographers. Jharipani Fall is located 6 km from Mussoorie and offer stunning views of Shivalik Range.
Mussoorie also offers a number of opportunities for hikes. Some of the treks that you can take are hikes to Nag Tibba, Pari Tibba, the Benog Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Hathipaon Walk. These walks pass through the thick jungles and offer you a chance to see the rare species of birds and animals.
